– The Jamestown City Council has scheduled a special City Council meeting Thursday at 4 p.m.
According to release from the city, the meeting is “to take such action deemed appropriate relative to selection of a police chief.”
17-year police chief David Donegan retired on Dec. 31, and the City Council named Lieutenant John Gletne interim police chief at its Jan. 3 meeting.
The council interviewed five candidates for the police chief position, including four in-house candidates already working for the Jamestown Police Department.
