N.D.- If 2012 really signals the end of the world, at least a select group of men (and a few ladies) got to experience one incredible Sunday in this year of the end of days, as the Leonard Country Club played host to a four person scramble.

Just as the sign says, it was a little slice of heaven on Sunday. January golf in North Dakota!

Roughly 70 people from all over eastern North Dakota made the pilgrimage to the tiny town of about 225 to live out a dream, despite playing on a course that was as hard as a rock due to winter freeze up.

31 Degrees. PERFECT golf weather!

It wasn’t the prettiest round of golf in the world, with reports of one golfer line driving a tee shot into a shed, and another golfer losing the head on his driver on another tee shot.

Anthony Sommerfeld of Valley City, Tom Milbrandt of Tower City, Scott Milbrandt of Kindred and Nathan Hoots of Tower City.

But at least it was golf in January in North Dakota, and at the end of the day, that’s saying something.

Stephen Joersz of Fargo, Anthony Cuypers of Valley City, Jason Metko of Oakes, and Keith Hartwig of Fargo
