N.D. (AP) – Just about every major city in North
Dakota and South Dakota set a record yesterday as temperatures
climbed into the 50s and 60s. The National Weather Service reports
that Rapid City, South Dakota reached an almost unheard of 73
degrees.
     
SPRING BROOK, N.D. (AP) – A 33-year-old passenger from Williston
died yesterday morning and two other people were injured when a
pickup rolled over in northwestern North Dakota’s Williams County.
The truck’s driver is facing a drunken driving charge.
     
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s Board of Medical Examiners is
suspending the license of a Fargo surgeon who was convicted of
drugging and sexually assaulting his wife. Jon Norberg faces up to
five years in prison after he entered Alford pleas in the case.
That means he didn’t admit wrongdoing but acknowledges there’s
enough evidence to convict him.
    
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) – A Fargo company is suing Iowa’s
Department of Human Service, saying the state unfairly awarded a
$140 million contract to a competitor. Noridian Administrative
Services says its bid was a better deal, but Iowa officials instead
awarded the contract to a New York consulting firm.
