N.D. (AP) – A southwest North Dakota bakery that sent
kuchen to buyers around the country has closed. Myron
and Betty Lapp made the traditional German desert at Lapp’s Bakery
in Hebron. They say they plan to retire because they can’t find a
buyer for their recipes or their business.     
    
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – Statistics show that spring wheat
prices in North Dakota fell last month from their November levels,
but are still near historic highs. Farmers received an average of
$8.15 per bushel in December, down about 6 percent from November.
From 2005 until 2010, December prices for spring wheat averaged
less than $5.50 per bushel.
    
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A Minot museum that was devastated by last
year’s Souris River flooding is cleaning up after a break in.
Police say a thief broke into the Harmon House on the Ward County
Historical Society’s grounds on Friday, shattering glass planes.
Flooding at the site caused about $1 million in damage.     
   
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota State University’s head football
coach says the team’s national championship matchup against Sam
Houston State this weekend is anything but a typical road trip. The
team flies to Texas tomorrow morning. They play in the Football
Championship Subdivision title game on Saturday.
