N.D. – Jamestown is saying goodbye to its top cop and has started 2012 without a successor in place.
Police Chief Dave Donegan retired from the post Saturday after 17 years as chief and 37 years with the department.
The Jamestown City Council has interviewed five candidates for the position, but no one has been offered the job before Tuesday’s city council meeting. City Administrator Jeff Fuchs said Tuesday morning that the City Council could appoint an interim chief at Tuesday’s meeting.
