N.D. (AP) – Authorities say a Montana man and his
daughter died yesterday afternoon during a rollover crash near Glen
Ullin, in western North Dakota. The girl’s mother was injured and
airlifted to a Bismarck hospital. Authorities say the vehicle spun
out of control during slippery conditions.
     
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The administrator of North Dakota’s most
populated county has agreed to plead guilty to drunken driving for
a September 3rd incident in Minnesota. Cass County Administrator
Keith Berndt agreed to a suspended 90-day jail sentence and $585
fine. The 51-year-old from Fargo has called the incident a
“serious lapse of judgment.”     
  
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The National Park Service says that 462
elk were killed during the second year of a herd reduction plan.
Last year, 406 elk were removed during a 12-week period.
     
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The Agriculture Department says the number of
hogs in North Dakota is climbing from last year’s levels, which
were the lowest in the state since 1899. The state had 151,000 hogs
as of December 1st. That’s up nearly 6 percent from last year.
