City, N.D. – Authorities say burglary and theft charges are pending against a 19-year-old Buxton man following a two month investigation.
Barnes County Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger said storages sheds in the homestead subdivision south of Sibley were burglarized in October and November. He said a bolt cutter and other items were used to gain entry.
Fiebiger said, the suspect allegedly sold some of the items on the “Craig’s List” website.
He said, the stolen items were valued at nearly $7,000 including a $3,000 construction trailer and an $800 tool box. The suspect faces several burglary and theft charges.
Fiebiger said, the suspect may also be linked to a burglary in Luverne involving a stolen Bobcat tire. He said anyone in the Sibley or Luverne area may want to check their buildings to see if anything is missing. If so, please report it to the Barnes or Steele County Sheriff’s office.
Fiebiger said, the suspect has been cooperating with investigators and more charges maybe pending.
