City, N.D. – Authorities say no one was injured after 7 rail cars went off the track 2 miles west of Valley City shortly after 2:30am Friday.

Burlington Northern Sante Fe spokeswoman Amy McBeth says the rail cars were carrying soybeans and NO hazardous material was being transported.

McBeth says the cause of the derailment is under investigation. She says crews are working to clear the cars from the track and make repairs to the rail line.
