CITY – Valley City State’s men’s basketball team picked up two victories during a weekend road trip.

VCSU defeated Viterbo (Wis.) by a score of 64-59 on Friday night, and then won their second straight game with a 68-58 win over Waldorf (Iowa) on Saturday.

Sekani Milligen scored 24 points in Friday’s victory to lead VCSU, and then followed it up with 18 points in Saturday’s win. Aaron Duske had 14 points each game. John Raquel scored 14 on Friday and 12 on Saturday to help VCSU to a pair of victories.

The Vikings are now 4-3 overall, and go on a road trip to Florida this weekend, playing Ave Maria (Fla.) on Friday and Johnson & Wales (Fla.) on Saturday.

VCSU women go 1-1
The Valley City State women’s basketball team went 1-1 this past weekend during a road trip to Montana.

The Vikings suffered a 62-52 loss to Montana State-Northern on Friday before rebounding with a big 80-48 victory over Great Falls, Mont. on Saturday.

The Viking women are now 3-4 overall this season, and are in action again Tuesday with a 7 p.m. game at home against University of Minnesota-Crookston.
