– The North Dakota Class A and Class B state volleyball tournaments start Thursday at the Fargodome as 16 teams vie for two state championships.
The Class B tournament features a pair of regional teams, with both Midkota and Linton-HMB representing their respective regions. Midkota advanced to the state tournament by defeating Rolla, defending state champion Langdon, and Carrington in the Region 4 Tournament.
The Mustangs open their state tournament run with a 2 p.m. match Thursday against Region 2 champion Hatton-Northwood. Q101 will be broadcasting all Midkota matches.
Linton-HMB opens its state tournament with a 6 p.m. match Thursday against Region 6 champion Kenmare.
The Class A tournament runs concurrently with the Class B tournament. There are two separate courts at the Fargodome.
The Class B championship is set for 6 p.m., with the Class A title match to follow at 8 p.m.

Noon: Grant County (Region 5) vs. Stanley (Region 8 )
2 p.m.: Hatton-Northwood (Region 2) vs. Midkota (Region 4)
6 p.m.: Linton-HMB (Region 3) vs. Kenmare (Region 6)
8 p.m.: Central Cass (Region 1) vs. Beulah (Region 7)
