N.D.- The 2011 high school football season was one to remember for those from Oakes High School. Many of the young men have been honored for their exceptional play.

In all, nine Tornado players either made All Region I or received an Honorable Mention.

The All Region I players from Oakes were all seniors. Fullback/Defensive End Adam Roney, Guard/Linebacker Ben Ketterling, Wide Receiver/Cornerback CJ Voegeli, Running back/Safety Tanner Zetocha, and Center/Nose Tackle Victor Cordova.

Those earning Honorable Mention recognition from Oakes were Senior Tackle Austin Foster, Junior Guard/Nose Tackle Ricardo Gamon, Sophomore Tight End/Defensive End Stephan Quandt, and Junior Quarterback/Linebacker Trent Ptacek.

The Region I Senior Athlete Of The Year Award went to Milnor/North Sargent Quaterback Josh Hansana.
