– Members of the Valley Water Rescue team from Fargo-Moorhead searched the James River in Jamestown on Sunday for evidence relating to a criminal case with the Stutsman County Sheriff’s office.
Stutsman County sheriff Chad Kaiser said volunteer members of the Jamestown area water rescue team also participated in the search.
Kaiser said they did not find the evidence they were looking for, but said the search was great training for the Jamestown area team.
“It was great that the Red River Valley team came over to help us,” he said.
“We used it as an evidence search and a training opportunity.”
Kaiser said he could not comment on what the search was for, and said they hope to conduct another search soon if the nice November weather holds.
