Jamestown, N.D…The Jimmie womens volleyball team won a couple of non-conference matches over the weekend at Hansen Center.
Friday, Jamestown edged Minot three games to two, behind 17 assists, two kills, two aces, and seven digs from Kelsey Deragisch, Jada Meiklejohn had 25 assits, 5 digs, and one ace, Sarah Becker finished with eight kills, four digs, and 10 blocks, Emilee Schutta had nine kills, one ace, six digs, and two blocks, Kate Zent had 10 kills, nine digs, and six blocks, and Heather Brown came through with 12 kills. Katie Lee chipped in with 17 digs.
Saturday, the Jimmies beat Dakota Wesleyan three games to one. Meikljohn had another big night with 25 assits, three aces, and five digs, Deragisch had 20 assits, and six digs, Schutta came up with 13 kills, one assist, one ace, five digs, and one block, Brown had 10 kills, two assits and eight blocks, Lee had 16 digs, and Zent finished with 11 kills, 15 digs, and five blocks.
The Jimmies, 13-7, get right back at it on Monday with a triangular in Minot. Jamestown will face the Lady Beavers at 4:00 p.m., and Sioux Falls at 6:00 p.m..
