N.D- For both the Oakes and Milnor/North Sargent high school football teams, Friday night’s game in Milnor is the largest game of the season.
Both teams are at 3-1 in Region 1 and are vying for one of the four playoff sports up for grabs with only two more weeks following tonight’s affair. Oakes is tied with Maple Valley/Enderlin in the overall record department for second in the Region, while MNS is a game behind, and currently holds the fourth spot. Both teams still have MVE left on their schedule.
MNS is lead by senior quarterback Josh Hansana; pound for pound the biggest play maker in the region. This season he has scored eight touchdowns while only throwing two interceptions.
For Oakes, it’s the running game, with senior Adam Roney leading the way thanks to seven touchdowns on the ground.
Coverage can be found on KDDR-AM 1220 and NewsDakota.com starts at 6:30 with kickoff from Milnor shortly after 7 p.m.
