N.D.–Jamestown College has announced that for the fifth consecutive year, they are ranked in the Top Tier of Best Regional Colleges in the “Best Colleges 2012” rankings released Sept. 13, moving up eight spots from last year’s ranking.
“We are proud to again be the highest ranked college, private or public, from North Dakota in any category and feel this is a reflection of the quality education we provide,” says Jamestown College President Robert S. Badal.
U.S. News’ “Best Colleges” is the most recognized and popular of all college rankings. The report evaluates colleges and universities annually by assessing criteria such as peer assessment, graduation rate, student/faculty ratios, class size, alumni giving, and student testing scores. Categories are Regional Colleges, Regional Universities, National Universities and National Liberal Arts Colleges. Each category consists of a top tier and a second tier.
In addition to being named to the Top Tier of “2012 Best Colleges” by U.S. News and World Report, Jamestown College was recently named a “Best in the Midwest” college once again by Princeton Review.
