CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Wahpeton laid claim to the North Dakota Amateur Baseball League tournament title with a 3-1 win over Valley City yesterday at Charlie Brown Memorial Field in Valley City.

Wahpeton defeated the Cooperstown Budweiser Bombers in the semi-finals, while Valley City handled Thompson.

This week marks the state amateur tournaments in Jamestown for the “A” and “AA” levels.
