CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Valley City Babe Ruth baseball season ended with a tough 11-9 loss to Linton in the District 6 tournament in Edgeley.

Valley City committed six errors behind pitcher Jesse Hochstetler, who had a brilliant season with the team.  The team trailed 10-1 before rallying, coming within a hit of tying the game in the final inning.

Ben Baasch had a 3-4 day in the loss.  Masyn Olson and Austin Berg had two hits each.

Valley City’s season ends with an 18-16 overall record.
