N.D.(NewsDakota.com)…Jamestown and Minot hooked up in a legion baseball doubleheader in Surrey on Wednesday. The games were scheduled for the Magic City, but due to the flood, the games were moved to Surrey. Post 14 won the first game 16-14, but the Vistas took the second game 16-6. Jamestown stands at 10-21-1, and 2-14 in the state wide standings. Post 14 will wrap up the regular season at Fargo on Friday.

Post 14 started strong with four runs in the top of the first, but the Vistas rattled off 12 unanswered to take a 12-4 lead to the top of the fifth. Jamestown responded with five in the fifth, four in the sixth and three in the top of the seventh to pull it out.
Kasey Gengler had a monster game with two home runs, a three run shot, and a grand slam, and he finished with seven RBI. Danny Fischer blasted a two run homer, and laced three hits, and he picked up the win. Brady Anderson also chipped in with three hits and he scored four runs, Jordan Lynch had three hits, and he scored three runs, Ben Walz ripped a pair of hits, and so did Tyler Ukestad. Jamestown out hit Minot 20-13.

Post 14 again had a quick start with a couple of runs in the top of the first, but Minot came back with seven in the bottom of the first, and never looked back. Gengler had another home run, a two run shot, and he finished the day with 10 RBI. Anderson had a couple of hits. Minot out hits Jamestown 15-8. Riley Schafer suffered the loss.
