City–The Hi-Liner softball team ran into two bad innings in an 8-7 loss to Central Cass.

Central Cass sent nine to the plate with a pair of doubles for five runs in the third, and scored three more, all unearned, in the fourth for the game winners.

The Hi-Liners were able to score three in the sixth and one in the seventh, but came up a run short.

Dierra Diegel and Amanda Tangen were rewarded for their play at catcher and shortstop, respectively, by head coach Jason Lindgren.

The Hi-Liners play at Belcourt Thursday in non-regional action.
