JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Rural Fire was dispatched to a pickup fire roughly four miles north of Jamestown Thursday evening.
Jamestown Rural Fire Chief Ben Maulding says the call came in around 6:15 PM. The pickup had been southbound on Highway 281 when it had mechanical problems. When the driver stopped to investigate, he found the engine compartment to be on fire.
When crews arrived on scene, Chief Maulding says a good portion of the truck was engulfed in flames. The driver was not injured.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
