CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A pickup was totaled after it burned in the lot of a salvage yard northwest of Valley City on Sunday, July 16th.

Valley City Rural Fire District Chief Gary Retterath said the pickup was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene around 12:15pm on July 16th.

He said crews stopped the fire from spreading to another vehicle in the salvage yard lot. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
