(NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man and woman are facing numerous theft charges after they allegedly went on a stealing spree this summer in Jamestown.
Eric Matthew Kagle, 25, and Holly Lynn Maxwell, 27, are accused of stealing about $9,000 worth of merchandise from several area businesses between July 1 and Aug. 5.
According to court documents, the allegedly stolen items – many of which were recovered from the couple’s house – filled three pickups and included TV’s, X-Box games, a cell phone, a lap top computer, numerous electronics, a bed, bikes, clothing, power tools and numerous household furnishings.
Maxwell made her initial appearance in Southeast District Court on Wednesday. Her next appearance is scheduled for Oct. 1. Kagle is scheduled to make his initial appearance Sept. 26.
Both Kagle and Maxwell face numerous Misdemeanor and Class C Felony charges. A Class C Felony is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Jamestown Police allege Maxwell and Kagle stole more than $4,600 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, about $1,800 worth of items from K-Mart, almost $900 in merchandise from J.C. Penney, $600 worth from True Value, and a few hundred dollars worth from Radio Shack and Glik’s.
They are also accused of Dealing in Stolen Property for allegedly selling stolen items worth about $585 to Rock 30 Games and about $250 worth of items to Mr. Money.
